Greetings! I beg that God's abundant grace will always be full in the daily life of our co-workers praying for Team Boaz. As you may know, I graduated from Handong Global University, a Christian private school located in Pohang. At about 3:00 a.m. on June 30th, President Young-Gil Kim, the first president of Handong Global University, received God's call. During my school days, working as the president of the student council, I was able to see president Kim's life and his spirituality up close, and he became my mentor in my life.
While living in a world without correct answers, meeting a mentor you genuinely want to emulate is a great fortune and blessing. President Kim was that kind of person to me. Getting older and experiencing various ups and downs in life, I have come to realize it more deeply. The way that president Kim walked through in silence was what could never be done by human will alone. So, I came to realize what a great servant of faith he was. Even after retirement, the president, to have maybe felt that he had not yet fulfilled the calling he had received from God, has devoted himself to fostering God's talents who will constantly change the world. Seeing the president's tireless passion, I came to have once again meditated on the life of the "Messenger." He could have spent his retirement comfortably, saying, "That's enough." but the president, who was the missionary, was different.
A week before his death, I hurriedly returned to Korea to see him. I was sad beyond words. I regretted not being able to see him more often. Above all, I felt sorry for myself wandering and wandering because I still did not possess the pure faith that the president showed through life. Everything I learned in Handong has led me to do business missions on the current Indonesian soil. As I learned through my mentor's life, I know how many trials I must persevere through to handle this ministry. The past six years have been a period of such training. Personally, it was a too difficult time.
It was such a lonely and fearful time that I would never be able to do it again. But it was an incredibly happy time as it was a series of times to perceive the living God. Not just words, but since I acknowledged God as the CEO of our company, I have never been worried about the staffs’ salary, and I am having fun working with good people. Knowing that I didn't do it, I can declare that God, the CEO, did it.
MISSION
July 1 was the first day of the fall semester at the Sumber Kasih Kindergarten. 42 children finally registered for this semester. Both parents and the community know that it is operated by the Christian Foundation, but they continue to send their children because they are satisfied with our educational program. The Muslim ministry requires long patience. Although there are few cases of accepting the gospel among students and parents, the awareness of Christianity and Christians is improving through our good-hearted ministry. I think this is also the fruit of ministry, and we want to obey the order to just go and deliver; because it is God who changes them.
The ISF Indonesia meeting, which is held once a month, is also having a good time learning new Korean food recipes and sharing life at my house. IT education for seminarians for this semester was entirely handled by Whisnu who resigned Chrombit after working for 3 years. He left my company due to various reasons, but since he is a gifted teacher, I made a special request, and Whisnu also readily accepted. Photoshop, Excel, and PowerPoint are taught to seminarians every Saturday.
PRAYER
1. Please pray for the qualitative and quantitative growth of Chrombit. We want to be a model for good companies that provide good jobs, and we want Chrombit to be a channel of blessing. Through the services provided by Chrombit, we want to improve the quality of life in Indonesia. 2. Please pray for employees to experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ in their work life. Since the gospel preached by life, not by words, is the most effective tool for spreading the gospel, intercession is urgently needed for me to live well as an example of faith. 3. Please pray for the future growth of 3D printer manufacturing and distribution and 3D printing service, which are the future source of income for Chrombit. We are looking for good investors and partners. 4. Please pray that I can play the role of head of the Indonesian branch of ISF (International Student Council), having my career in Indonesia, and can continue to network with those graduates who will represent Korea so that I can do various activities with them to promote the good things about Korea.
